Timing the release of a new post is hard at this time of year. I will either be early or I will be late. Choosing the early road feels better.
There is no doubt this has been a difficult year, harder I know for some than others. I have no wish to make light of that with platitudes. In fact I don’t want to bring anything up for discussion. However I would like the opportunity to thank those that have followed my blog, and to thank those that have given me pleasure with their creative use of words. Words are magic. They help us understand things we may not have understood previously. They are our path to wisdom.
There is one thing my brain has fully absorbed this year. Supporting others and being supported in turn is the most valuable gift we can give each other. Speaking up and helping when and wherever we can matters.
For this coming new year and the years to follow I wish you the words in this quote by Neil Gaiman.
“I hope you will have a wonderful year, that you’ll dream dangerously and outrageously, that you’ll make something that didn’t exist before you made it, that you will be loved and that you will be liked, and that you will have people to love and to like in return.
