What readers are saying about Unexpected Obsession: Unexpected Love - Book 1
“Strickland pulls off what some writers don’t. She writes a steamy love scene, but all the emotions and love her characters feel are also present. She combines both aspects perfectly.”
The boy she knew has become a domineering man with an obsessive need for order. Nico meets every attempt at peace with anger and resentment and eyes that watch her with something she is afraid to identify. An alpha male in every sense of the word Nico both fascinates and frightens her. The Mediterranean sun heats her skin; Nico heats her blood.
A past tragedy tore two families apart. Will something new emerge from the ashes of the past?
“Every human is intended to have a character of his own; to be what no others are, and to do what no other can do.”
– William Ellery Channing, 1780-1884
A late comer to the writing scene, Barbara explores different genres from contemporary romance, children’s books, paranormal worlds, and does a little delving into science-fiction and some poetry. Having lived just outside Venice (Carnevale ), it seemed appropriate to let the masks represent the different worlds she would like to inhabit or at least write about.
Currently she is busy writing about her experiences as a budding writer and life in general in the Amorina Rose blog. On days ending in ‘y’ she is found hard at work on The Unexpected series (five in all) and writing poetry books, and working on ideas for a thriller and a science fiction novel. She does wonder why it has taken her so long to do something she loves.
